Huntersville Highwaymen

David’s regular season was rather average (by statistic standards and the eye test), seesawing back and forth between wins and losses. He did make a slight playoff push by advancing to the second round where he lost to Andrew.

2023 Record: 7-7 (3rd, lost in semifinals)

2022

Agloe Placeholders

Despite making two straight MNY Championship games, 2022 was not the breakout year that David had hoped for. He struggled to a 5-9 finish in the regular season before being bounced by Ryan in the first round.

2021

Eris Express Eagles

Many people asked, “How will David follow up his 2020 championship appearance?” The answer to that question is “With another championship appearance” evidently. David started the year off on a blazing hot 5 game win streak that peaked with his thrilling come-from-behind victory against Ryan in Week 5. While he cooled off the rest of the season, entering the playoffs on a three-game losing streak, David secured a bye and played in the championship game yet again, where he fell to Andrew.

2020

Billy’s Blues

David’s meteoric rise continued in 2020 as he improved upon his 7-6 record in 2019. 2020 saw David post both a three-game losing streak and a four-game winning streak. David would streak all the way to the finals where he would lose to Chad by a 12-point margin.

2019

Brookdale Blood-Spillers

Finishing at 7-6 in 2019, David successfully exorcised the demons from his 2018 team. His players seemed to perform when it mattered. He made it to the league semifinals before falling and winning the 3rd place game.

2018

Cedar Rapids Chillizards

Much like Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, David’s season was an unmitigated disaster. This disaster didn’t come as much of a surprise. Pretty sure he drafted like 6 QBs.

2018 Record: 3-10 (8th, missed playoffs)

2017

Communist Force Users

David’s team, which oft switched names, was not the force it was in 2016. Including a three-month period in which David lost every game. The Force Users/Cash Chasers, somehow, were able to sneak into the playoffs at 5-8, ultimately losing in the first round against Andrew

2016

Rustbelt Russrs

After finishing last in the inaugural season, David came back with a vengeance, finishing 8-5 overall and winning the South Division.

2015

Downstairs Funksteps

The Downstairs Funksteps was David’s original team in the inaugural season of the Maybe Next Year League, formed in 2015. David, unfortunately, often sat at the bottom of the league standings with Kelvin.
