Week 3 Bonanza Post

I don’t have a lot of time to write up separate articles this week, so you’ll enjoy this one big article I’m going to write from 3:06PM until I clock out at 3:23PM. Let’s go

Recaps

Lots of games happened this week (that’s a lie, only 4 did). The most notable is Kelvin’s upset over Andrew. Andrew almost completed the comeback behind the work of Stefon Diggs and Jalen Hurts, but fell just shy. What a thrilling game.

Ryan defeated Tyler this week like any sane human being would predict. Why would you ever expect Ryan to lose…would be what I would say if i were pretending to be Ryan pretending to be Brent! Gotcha!

David defeated me this week and I’m starting to feel the “sky-is-falling” attitude slowly shift to the mid-to-late season apathy. We’re really on record pace this year, folks.

Conner beat Chad and that sucks bad. We will have to do what we can to prevent such mishaps in the future

Previews

Speaking of prevention, Conner is only an 10 point favorite over me this week somehow. I wonder if my rag tag bunch of poopy doo-doo players could actually string together a win? Doubt it! But, I refuse to take Conner. I’m picking myself in this battle of losers.

Chad and Andrew play this week but I feel bad for Chad because his beginning of season has been Kelvin (192 points) and Conner (200 points) and now he gets Andrew who has put up 180+ points both Week 1 and Week 2. The schedule has been unkind to him, but maybe it eases up. I’m sorry to say but I’m taking Andrew.

Ryan is playing David this week and I think it looks to be a pretty evenly matched game. That being said, Ryan’s team is the greatest team that ever played fantasy football and thus my pick is Ryan. All hail Ryan!

Finally, Tyler and Kelvin play each other. Kelvin has looked fierce which is a good change of pace from years past. There’s nothing I’ve seen yet out of Tyler’s team that makes me think he can keep up to pace with Kelvin’s ceiling. We’ll see though. I’m still picking Kelvin.

Power Rankings

I don’t have time to format or blurb at all really. It’s 3:14PM at this point and while it feels like we’re really blazing along, it will be 3:23PM in no time. I actually need to finish this up a little before that because I need to pack my laptop up too. So really, I only have til about 3:22PM.

There’s no team owner participation this week in the polls. I’m just going to call them like I see them

1. City Boys (2-0) – I’m sorry I have to do this but rest assured that this will be short lived. Nothing is good for too long for a city boy.
2. Capital K. Rillerz (1-1) – He is our knight in shining armor. He will save us. He can do it and we must all believe in him. This is the hill I’m willing to die on.
3. James’s Jets (1-1) – Andrew’s team looks really good still, even in the loss. Better days are ahead, surely.
4. Matt Rhule’s Clown School (1-1) – Really good team, he just needs to hit his stride on the schedule. Only really ranked here because he took Garrett Wilson from me. I specifically dropped my bid down because I didn’t think anyone else was going to grab him (spoiler: my original bid wasn’t going to win him either so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (yeah i googled the emoji shrug to copy and paste it, i know its 3:17PM but I needed it for emphasis)
5. Concord Fire (1-1) – I don’t remember the rest of his team name but rest assured this guy is actually who I would’ve put at #1. God Save Ryan!
6. San Francisco Foghorns (1-1) – I had to look up who Tyler beat in Week 1, that’s how i spent more of this precious time. It’s 3:19PM already guys, I’m scared. Tyler has a good team, just needs to get some depth and figure out what’s going on (that’s vague and its ok, i’m running short on time)
7. Agloe Placeholders (1-1) – I don’t have time to make sure i spelled his name right but yknow its 3:20PM i realistically only have 2 minutes to finish this, find a photo, and publish it. Cut me some slack!
8. Marion Mystery Remote (0-2) – The only mystery here is finding out how i got so bad at fantasy football. I’ll always have 2017.
